How this service works
Wrekin Access Scaffolding is an independent enquiry service, not a scaffolding company. Tell us what you need by phone or the form. With your agreement, your enquiry is passed to one independent local scaffolder, who contacts you to survey and quote. Read exactly how it works.

What affects the price most
- Height and number of lifts. Three-storey town houses need more materials than bungalows.
- Access. Conservatories, extensions and steep plots — common around Ironbridge and Bridgnorth — need bridging or extra work.
- Hire period. Overruns add weekly charges, so agree the hire period and weekly rate up front.
- Highway licence. Scaffolds over a pavement need a council licence and pedestrian protection.
- Extras. Loading bays, rubbish chutes, sheeting and alarms all add cost.
Licences in brief
If any part of the scaffold stands on a pavement or road, a licence is needed from the highway authority — Telford & Wrekin Council for most of the Telford area, Shropshire Council for Bridgnorth, Shifnal and Albrighton. See the licence rules guide.
Info checked 3 November 2026. Rules and fees change — confirm with Telford & Wrekin Council (or Shropshire Council for Bridgnorth, Shifnal and Albrighton) before any work starts.
